Air Yeezy: Beyond the Hype … It feels like only yesterday I was in my apartment refreshing my browser repeatedly for a needle in a haystack chance at getting any of the 3 colorways of the Air Yeezy’s in early 2009. Lines for each release began on a Wednesday for a Saturday release throughout Chicago and it looks like it won’t be any different when the first colorway of the Yeezy 2’s drop April 13th. Some sneaker boutiques will be auctioning their share, others do a random lottery, while there are even those that take role call every hour for those brave enough to park in a 3 day line.
Today you can find bidding wars on ebay for used Yeezy’s going for more than $600… how I know that you may ask? —I guess my fingers have just been staying in shape during a 3 year offseason waiting for a 2nd chance to obsessively drop some Yeezy 2’s in my nikestore.com shopping cart.
